Refrigerator Louder Than Goodbye EP 7" (Squealer 013) 1995 With the songs "Meantime", "Thinner Than Skin", "Louder Than Goodbye" and "Housing Fires". Dennis Callaci-Guitar Allen Callaci-Voice Chris-Drums Joel-Phantom Drums Dennis and his brother Allen have been Refrigerator since 1991. Dennis began the Shrimper label around that time as well to document the activity in the fertile Inland Empire region outside of Los Angeles, and Refrigerator have been just one of the outstanding bands that have developed (Nothing Painted Blue and the Mountain Goats being only two of many more). Their independent attitude remains resoundingly 'punk' even though their music is more of an intensely personal take on 'folk rock'. This 7" was the follow-up to their How You Continue Dreaming LP/CD on Shrimper/Revolver, and we figured it was their best ever at the time. In hindsight, it's just another peak on a continual rise to glory. They just keep getting better and better, and we're happy to have been along for the ride... This record is now out of print.
